• When making a booking with us, or requesting us to prepare an itinerary, or requesting us to arrange travel insurance, or provide you with a quotation for travel;

What Type of Personal Information we collect:

The types of personal information that we collect from you will depend on the circumstances of collection and on the type of service you request from us. For example, when you request us to make your travel arrangements, we may collect details such as your name, address, flight and other travel details, credit/debit card number and expiry date, billing address, telephone numbers, Frequent Flyer number or other loyalty program membership details, dietary requirements (if any) and health issues relevant to your travel arrangements. As we are required by law to obtain your consent to the collection of "sensitive information" we will assume that you have consented to the collection of all information which is provided to us for use in accordance with this Statement, unless you tell us otherwise.

How we collect information:

We may collect information about you in the course of providing a service or product to you on your request via telephone, facsimile, email or other correspondence; or visit our website. We may collect and update that information over the phone, via email, or in person or when you write to us. We may also acquire personal information through third parties such as our alliance and business partners, or via marketing campaigns, competitions or surveys, or in response to advertising or direct mail.

We store personal information in a number of secure databases, as well as in securely stored paper based files. We may disclose your personal information to third parties in order for them to perform services relating to the travel arrangements which you have requested us to make. For example we would provide an airline with your frequent flyer number, meal and seating preferences, and, in order for the airline to meet its obligations to international governments, such other information as they request, which could include but not necessarily be limited to: your passport number and expiry date, your date of birth, your gender, your home address and contact details in your country of destination. This dissemination of information would also apply to any dependent children traveling with you.
We will not rent, trade or sell your personal information to any third party without your consent. Where we have contracted a third party such as a mailing house to provide us with support services, we may divulge relevant personal information to such third party in order for them to fulfill their contractual obligations to us. We impose strict requirements of security and confidentiality on third parties as to how they handle your personal information. We oblige these third parties contractually to not use any personal information provided by us to them except to perform the services which we have contracted them to provide.

Access to personal information:

We will, on request, provide you with access to the information we hold about you, unless there is an exception which applies under the National Privacy Principles, including for the purpose of correcting or updating that information. Your request to provide access to this information will be dealt with in a reasonable time.
If we refuse to provide you with access to the information, we will provide you with reasons for the refusal and inform you of any exceptions relied upon under the National Privacy Principles.
We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information that we collect, use, or disclose is accurate, complete and up-to-date whenever we collect or use it.
